Alexander Nipp, President of the Interact Club was announced as the June Rotarian of the Month. Alexander’s leadership was key in not only establishing the Interact Club just this year, but also focusing the work on mental health, which is a key issue in our community and region. Alexander and his Interact team quickly spring into action and worked hard with The Phelps Foundation to bring Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps, and his wife Nicole, to Coeur d’Alene to speak about “Swimming Against Stigma” and his battles with mental health issues. A ticketed event open to the public was held at the KROC Center, and two events for students were held at CDA and Lake City High Schools. All events were received very well and quite a success!
