Thank you to the CDA Rotary Club's Veterans Committee for putting together a very moving program to remind us of what Memorial Day is all about - honoring military members and their families who have given the ultimate sacrifice in defense of our freedoms.

It was a privilege to have two Gold Star parents share the lives of two fallen heroes, their sons who were killed in action. Theresa Hart spoke about Nick Newby while John Goldsmith talked about his son, Wyatt.

It was very moving and such an important reminder of the sacrifices families make defending our freedom.

Fantastic and timely program to help us remember all the sacrifices families make when part of the military. ❤️ 🇺🇸

Club last week – anchored in “Go Vandals, Go” college football!

The gridiron? Coeur d’Alene Resort. The 12th man? Rotarians

🏈 So while Ian Hicks made an Extra Point giving an International Committee update, President Doug called an Audible to keep the ball moving.

🏈 Kim Edmondson came up with a Special Play, recognizing Sarah Day who was in the Trenches as our Rotarian of the Month.

🏈 University of Idaho Football Head Coach, Jason Eck, did a Walk-Through with members going over plays to include Vandals Accountability, Toughness, Urgency and Grit.

Overall, the meeting was a total Victory!
